Accessibility
As part of our commitment to an inclusive digital experience, we are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our software in line with recognized standards. ARIS (Viewer role) was independently evaluated in May 2022 by mindscreen GmbH, using the official BIK BITV Test methodology. The assessment followed the requirements of EN 301 549 (v. 3.2.1) and WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The assessment report concludes that ARIS (Viewer role) meets the majority of the relevant accessibility criteria. The following areas were identified as needing further improvement:
Info and relationships
Headings and tables are not always structured correctly, which can affect orientation for screen reader users.
Use of color
In some areas, headings and links are difficult to distinguish because they look the same and differ only by color.
Bypass blocks
Skip links and landmarks are available, but some labels, such as pagination, are unclear or inconsistent.
Focus visible
In a few areas, the focus indicator is too weak or difficult to recognize.
Name, role, value
A few interface elements are not correctly defined for assistive technologies.
User preferences
Font sizes cannot be scaled freely, and icon fonts fail to display correctly when users adjust the font.
Reflow
At magnifications up to 200%, the interface works well without accessibility restrictions. However, at 400% magnification, two-dimensional scrolling, overlays, and obscured content create substantial barriers for users.
