Import/Export
You can export model graphics and BPMN diagrams and import BPMN diagrams.
You can export a model or a model item as a graphic and use it in other programs.
Open the relevant model.
To export a model, open the model and ensure that no model item is selected.
To export a model item, open the model and select the relevant model item.
Activate the Model tab bar.
Click
Export graphic in the tab bar. The model graphic is created.Decide whether to open or save the graphic.
The graphic either opens in your graphics program or is available as a PNG file in your download area.
You can export a BPMN diagram. When exporting an Enterprise BPMN collaboration diagram or an Enterprise BPMN process diagram, an arisebpmn extension tag with the Enterprise BPMN specific information is added to the BPMN file.

Models and objects.
Select the group of the database containing the BPMN diagram. The group content is displayed.
In the row of the relevant BPMN diagram, click
More.Click
BPMN export. The BPMN 2.0 diagram is validated. If modeling errors occur, these are highlighted in the diagram and must be corrected. A tip for solving an error is displayed when you move the mouse pointer over the highlighting. You can open or save the BPMN file.Save the file at the required location.
You can use exported BPMN diagrams in other applications.
You can export models in XML format to import them into other ARIS Advanced databases. XML files exported from ARIS Advanced are encrypted.
Prerequisite
You have the function privilege Database export/import on database level.
You have the ARIS Cloud Advanced Administration license privilege.

Select a group or database content you want to export.
Select
Export > Export XML file.Specify the relevant settings and click Apply.
By default, the database content is exported as a zipped file and saved in the Downloads folder on your local hard disk. The XML export dialog displays the log messages of the export.
You can import data from a BPMN file to ARIS Advanced and use the BPMN diagram that was generated by the import in ARIS Advanced.
Select a group.
Click
Import > Import BPMN diagram. The dialog opens.Click Select files.
Select the BPMN file and click Open. The import checks whether a BPMN diagram with the same name already exists. You can choose whether the diagrams in ARIS Advanced should be overwritten.
Click Start import. After the import is completed, a dialog with messages is displayed.
Click OK.
The generated BPMN diagram is displayed. If multiple BPMN diagrams are generated, they are all opened.
You can import XML files into your ARIS Advanced database. XML files exported from ARIS Advanced are encrypted. You can only import encrypted XML files.
Prerequisite
You have the function privilege Database export/import on database level.
You have the ARIS Cloud Advanced Administration license privilege.

Click the group into which you want to import.

Import > Import XML file. The dialog opens.Click
Select import file. A list of available files opens.
Select the relevant XML file to import and click Open.
Click Apply.
The content of the XML file is imported into your database. The XML import dialog displays the log messages of the import.
